The Guardian Tree Empty
PostSubject: The Guardian Tree   The Guardian Tree Icon_minitimeFri Nov 18, 2011 2:32 am

In a city--that is now long gone--There was a guardian.
The huge tree, with widely spread branches, the beauty, it was said to glow.
The people of the city called it "The protector" "The wise tree",
For, it protected the city, and helped make decisions.
This is a story I created of a royal family who wishes to take the tree and make it's sentience a body.
And they become great friends.
Enjoy.

Information, you need to understand;;
The tree, he fought in a war and saved many of his teams and allies lives,
he was eventually killed by a knight of much higher level in training.
He died and when he fell to the floor, his body had become a tree.
All that was remembered now, is that small thing.

The queen,
Her name is Adelea Equitem Arluce.
Her families name is Arluce,
It was once a mix of Armor and Light, for the family always was active. 57 at the begining of the story.

The princess,
Nixilious Luxpes Arluce
she is a princess, fair, and she loves many things.
She wants to fight for what she loves, and she loves learning. 15 at the begining of the story.

The prince,
Ernite Libuicis Arluce
He is smart and went through alot. He travels around but occasionally comes to visit Nixilious.
He is older then Nixilious at 17 at the begining of the story.

-Description;;-

Nixilious' hair, is black and soft.
Long all the way down her back, and straight.
Her skin, pale white.
Her eyes, an electrifying blue.
She is thin.

Adela's hair, is black and short, it is not as soft as Nixilious, but silky.
It goes halfway down her back and she wears it up.
Her skin, is less pale then Nixilious, and white.
Eyes, purple.
She is between thin and chubby.

The tree,
Like a giant willow tree, 50 feet tall and when happy,
glows. the leaves glow cyan and the trunk glows its normal color.

King,
died many years ago, no description.

The prince,
Ernest Arluce
His hair, a bright blonde (fathers side)
short and styled nicely
Eyes, a light blue
Skin, white.
Thin.

Arluce,
Their special trait is that depending on what their thinking or their mood, their eye color changes.
Weather it is to show and fit an expression,
or give someone an impression.

I sat in my bed, and has done so for a very long time.
I looked around my empty room, my old book cases.
The room was gloomy, something I grew up in.
Something I see much too often.
And I would become a queen in short years, I would have to learn much by then.
I would rule a kingdom the size of a city.
And I will get tired, and bored to a whole new level.

But my concern falls on to my best of friends, the tree.
The beautiful tree, I do things for him, for, he is not capable of much.
He longs for a body, I long for him to have so aswell.
And not a day goes by that I not wish to find how to give him such that wonderful gift.

I sat up, and stood off my short little bed. I put on my boots, fixed my dress, and went down the stone stairs.
My boots clopping like a horses foot.
I walked down the hall and through the large door, then,
"Where are you going, dear?" My mother asked in curiosity from the other room.
"I am going to that beautiful tree." I replied slowly, and softly.
"Well, dinner will be--" "Ready soon, I will be back before it is cold."
"Oh, well. Wear your jacket, then." She ended.
I put on my cloak. I put the hood over my head and wrapped my body in the black cloak. It was silky, and it simply hung down.
I went outside and closed the door behind me.

I looked forward. My eyes gaze went soft.
I saw my favorite of many sights, the sky was white and the ground was covered in smooth while surface.
As I walked toward the tree I caused foot prints in what used to be a perfect blanket of snow.
As I got close enough I waved my hand up to show the tree that I have come to visit, once again.

He began to glow. His leaves turning a beautiful cyan, glowing.
And his trunk just glowing softly.
I walked up close to his trunk and looked up at him, he towered over me.

"Tree, tree, how are thee?" I asked, cheerfully.
*Nobody has visited me in such time, has winter frightened them?*
I put my hand on his wooden trunk, gently.
"You are not alone now, I am here." I smiled a soft smile.
He was sad, and I could feel that so.
"You want to be with me longer, you want to move, to talk, to sing. You want that body, and I shall find out how. And you shall have a body!"
His happiness lit up, very nice and warm feeling it had given me, yes.
It made me upset that I did not already know how to help him yet.
I stood there for another moment, then I went back to my castle, and into the library after my supper.

I searched through each shelf.
I found every kind of book that has been created, 'till something caught my eye.
It was very advanced, nothing I have seen before.
"Spirit senses" It read.
It was not anything I have seen before, I opened it, and it made movie clips in the air, in 3 dimension.
I read it past midnight's end, I read 'till 3:54 AM, and then I ran out my door and back to the tree.
This time, the sky was black, the air with a small chilly breeze, and the floor still white.
My nose was red, cold.
And the sky was lit low with the stars and a crescent moon.

*Why are you come here, it is fallen into the darkness of night. Shall not you be in slumber?* The tree asked me. I shook my head in response. With the exited and joyfilled look inside my eyes, he knew what had happened.
Why I was there.

*Friend, you have found the way. You have found the way, have you not?*
"Yes, I have found the way. And, much more!"

He was interested and exited, he listened closely.
I showed him the book, and I read it all to him.
He listened the whole time exited of the information inside.

*This, friend, I have much I have learned from this book, though, it is not from your people. It was not created by your species.*
I opened my eyes wide for a moment and stared at his highest branches.
The look wiped off my face after a few moments.
"I must go, I shall train for you, and then you may be with me!"
I got up and ran home, book in hand, cloak swaying, I ran to my room.
Cold room, it was...

After some time, I kept practicing.
At first it seemed so impossible.
It took me very long.
I learned, and got much better day-by-day.

And I stopped visiting the tree...

The seasons passed as the tree awaited my return with good news.
I avoided the glimpse of his view.

He never went a-glow anymore, he became sad.
He eventually fell into a slumber that could last his whole life.
And I, would awaken him once I knew...

Once I knew...

I awaited her return. I was filled with joy when she left.
Day after day, she had no return.
And every day I lost hope and faded into sadness.

The seasons changed. I watched the snow melt,
the plants grow, and dry out has summer come forth...
And the snow fall again.

I became very sad, no body has come to me in a year.

I fell into slumber.
To escape the torture....
And everything just darkened and faded away...

5 years later-~

It has been 6 years.
I am much older, learned much.
My powers have grown, very much so....

And my mother was now talking to me...
I continued listening...

I nodded... Slowly, and looked at the stoney ground I stood upon.
"I am getting old, Nixilious. I will not live much longer."
I looked at the floor. She looked at me. And I knew that my eyes went gray.
"No, mother, do not say so, you shall live many years!"
"Nixilious... You have to learn of the world. Not everything you want in life will be thrown into your face..."
She looked vacantly forward.
Nobody spoke for a while.
She picked up a picture of my father holding me and looking at my beauty in his arms as I was small,
and my brother sitting upon his shoulder.

She looked like she was about to cry. Her crystal eyes went soft.
"Mother." I walked over to her in a trot and hugged her.
She hugged me back--tightly as she could.

"Nixilious, you must awaken the tree, and, for me, I plead, make him a body."
I let go of her, and looked into her eyes.
I was taller then her, I was 10 feet tall, she was 8.

"I promise." I said quietly.
I picked up my mother, she floated through the house into her bed in her bed-room.
I put her under her sheets.

And, I left the house.

I ran out, and to the tree.

"Tree, tree, I have that power! Tree, has you awakened?"
I listened to the silent response of nothing and the fall leaves floated down from the ordinary tree's around us and covered the floor.
"I shall awake you, then!"
I held my hand to my heart, and it began to glow underneath.
I walked up to the tree, and he glow up from where my hand was on his trunk and spreading out.
He awakened.
I smiled.

*Awake, I am, friend, you are finally here.*
Have you gotten the power?
I looked at him and my eyes went back to normal.
My smile grew wide, and I lifted myself off the ground and up level,
hovering next to the tree.
"Yes, yes I have."

The tree glowed brightly, and I focused hard.
Like a shattering glass figure, the tree seemed to break.
And as he broke, a blinding light came from the inside of him.
I held my eyes tightly shut to keep from blinding myself, and people from the kingdom-city left their houses and formed a crowed around me and the tree.

Eventually after a few minutes the tree was completely broken and the blinding light shrunk, shrunk 'till the size of myself.

The light stopped, and I saw what was a human boy of my same age floating in the air.

His skin turned white as mine, just as pale.
His hair, was black and styled almost like my brothers.
Short and soft, it appeared.
His eyes, were golden, beautiful rich golden like a caramel on the apple.

He floated down during the transforming, and I threw my cloak on him before anything could show.

When he was done, I put my arm on his shoulder.
Tears filled my eyes, and my face almost damped.
My shy smile was wide.

"And you feel it." "As, I do." His beautiful voice sang and rang in my ears.
I looked at him and smiled back.
The crowed of the kingdom city looked at where the tree had been,
and where he was now.

I looked at him and had gotten lost in thought for a minute.
"Oh, you must come to my home, you need clothes!"
I grabbed his hand and ran to my home, my high boots making noises of the breaking leaves under.

I ran into the home and took him to my bed room.
I took out clothes my brother used to wear.
I gave them to the tree and left the room for him to change.
He came out 3 minutes later handing me my cloak back.

We walked into my mother's room.

"Who is he..." her voice had trailed off as she wondered and most likely figured it out.
"Mother, this is the tree!"
She looked at him and smiled.
"You have turned out in such a beautiful body.
You must love your new body, don't you?"
He replied, "I do, and I have my every thanks to Nixilious."

I heard the sound of hands clapping behind us, and foot steps coming from behind us.

"You look fantastiq'~ Who's the new guy?"
I rolled my eyes, and shouted, "BROTHER!" and hugged him.

My mother smiled and we all stood next to her bed side.
She repeated what she had told me this morning.

"...And, Nixilious, you, I suppose you should help him pick a name."
"I will, mother." I smiled and exchanged a look with the tree.
Err, I mean boy.
My brother stood between us and hung each of his arm limbs around out necks.
"Both of you the same height-" he signaled toward the t--boy.
"-You look as good as me." he grinned and I shoved his arm off my shoulder.

The boy parroted me.

After a long talk, we all ventured out of the castle.
I showed all the things to the boy, that he was missing out of.
He read books, sang songs, ate, drank, danced, and had fun that day.

"I must tell you, this is very much better then standing in that rooted spot. Never in my extremely long life had I been so happy."
He smiled. I laughed, and I hugged him.
"Glad you're happy, too."
